The station is usually some 60 km above the surface of the planet!
The main stations is always at altitude equal to planet radius - from 27 to 69 km (there is 1:100 ratio between game and planet scales).

Re: Traffic lights for station docking bays

Departing ships NOT exists as entities before launch event. Honestly, I don't know is it possible to predict launch event using JavaScript - it is beyond my coding knowledge. So the best way to avoid collisions - always to call docking clearance if it is allowed. Having granted docking clearance you...

Thank you, sir!

You might need to have the Multi-Targeting System fitted to select the appropriate pylon.
No. Just activate missiles, cycle missile pylons pressing Y, select external fuel tank and fire it like missile. phkb is completely right :D

Re: Habitable Main Planets

New features of Habitable Main Planets - improved visual appearance of main planets. Can you disappointed with default visual appearance of Oolite main planets? Well, air haze around planet limb and oceans with sun reflections are pretty cool, but yellow, cyan and magenta oceans and continents are… ...

Re: Looking for more realistic planet textures (no luck with planetary systems)

I'd like to retexture all of them. Looks like Povray Planets is the only way to do so. Manual retexture of ALL 2048 main planets is too complex task for mere mortal, agree? So procedural generation is the only way to do so. I have more modest plan in mind. Famous Planets is a good subset to upgrade...

I've tried Planetary Systems, but I don't see any change in planet appearances, though I have installed all the Planet Textures (A to H) and I don't seem any conflicting oxp's installed.
Planetary Systems changes textures of additional planets only, NOT main planet.

Re: Lave is Earth OXP (8k Textures)

Also, it seems that the term polar is used quite loosely here, since the effects of polar_land_color, polar_sea_color and polar_cloud_color appear to spread well beyond polar zones. To test that, try setting these values to "0 0 1", "0 1 0" and "1 0 0" and see how the three base colors spread acros...

Re: Lave is Earth OXP (8k Textures)

@another_commander I'm not ready to dive so deep yet. Testing cloud_fraction and land_fraction. No noticeable visual effects on F7 screen. percent_cloud, percent_ice and percent_land works. percent_ice seems generates too small polar caps if it is set close to zero, but at least it works. Maybe I'll...

Re: Lave is Earth OXP (8k Textures)

@another_commander There is texture 8k_earth_diffuse2.png in pack. Just as alternative variant of 8k_earth_diffuse.png or it has some function? And sorry for off-topic - I have questions about planetinfo.plist in general. There is parameter land_fraction in game planetinfo.plist. I can’t find it on ...

Re: Leesti is Moon 8k

Leesti is Moon LSM 8k is released. It is special edition of Leesti is Moon with marked soft landing sites of human unmanned probes and piloted spacecrafts. See initial post for more details. @another_commander Is it possible to declare normal maps of planets and moons in script? Trying to do it. Di...

Hmm... Maybe special edition with marked locations of historical landing sites?

Re: Leesti is Moon 8k

Version 0.2.0 Set has_atmosphere = NO; This change removes residual atmosphere haze, visible near Moon limb in previous version. And it removes air friction too! Cool! @another_commander Has you plans in future Oolite releases to implement numeric value of atmosphere density instead Boollean has_atm...
