i have a save from being in the station with the message waiting. So I can try again. I did have logging turned on but when i got the latest version it overwrote the config file! ah - i assumed they meant 'we'll deactivate it for the missions then turn it on again afterwards'. Not 'we'll steal it'! :)

right. i have a procedural texture generator working now. It needs a GUI (instead of rebuilding the code each time) to get allow easy adjustment of the parameters It needs a a better 2D interpolation than simple linear between the nearest 4 points. Although adding extra smoothing on the later passes...

I just did the shuttle mission on local hero and failed. However, when i docked i didn't get any message - just the picture of the police chief bloke and a 'press space commander'. I also had to buy a new energy bomb, so it looks like it was disabled but not reinstated afterwards. I'm using version ...

I keep meaning to write a procedural texture generator to produce 2D wrapping images. There are various algorithms for this that produce a variety of effects. By having the colour palette abruptly shift at some point(s) you can get sea/land(/snowy mountains). Must get round to this at some stage and...

hmmm... i think i've killed about 6 or 7 so far and all bar 2 ejected and fought back in a worm. one didn't eject and the other ejected a q-mine instead (nice try but no cigar ;) )

Guess i've been unlucky.

Hmm... Do you get a kill for the ship and another for the worm?

( PS 5700 kills in the game now. That's why local hero and random hits are taking so long - I keep getting 'distracted' by all these anarchies on the way...)

it's not going to do any harm - as long as it's marked on the wiki (or wherever) as 'forum fiction' rather than a full on 'novella' I can't see any reason for anyone to be offended.

you couldn't move the crosshairs as the position would be different depending on range. In the centre at infinity but off the edge of the screen at zero range...

Can all OXPs also have the version in the OXP name and on the OXP page on the wiki.

Then it's easy to see the version number of all your installed OXPs and compare it on the wiki to see if any need updating.

Something seems to be broken in 1.70 though, they sometimes go inactive even when their parent is still alive. I've seen them launched on the scanner from the ship i was targetting, then they change to white blobs as the go inactive when I'm still locked onto the parent. I think I heard that it was ...
