Re: Red dwarfs and Earth-like planets

Hmm... dwarfs does seem to be current for stellar objects. But I reckon it should be dwarves in normal usage. Wasn't Tolkien a high-brow professor of English language, and something of an expert in the translation of Germanic words? Tolkien certainly was a linguist. But as to dwarves, he explains t...

Re: [POLL] Career Elite Ranking

Deadly, I think, years ago on the Amstrad 464, and that was without having ever found the Constrictor Hunt mission (I may have always gone galaxy-hopping far too soon). Dangerous on Oolite.

Re: How I discovered Oolite...

I killed my Trumble!

Yeah, I know it had to be done, but I didn't know I had to listen to the poor thing bleat in protest at the heat five or six times before it finally croaked. :(

Now I feel like a murderer.

Re: How I discovered Oolite...

Unlike Keeper I've just been getting on and playing rather than muck around with OXPs which look like they'll keep me busy for ages. I heard about it two-three weeks ago on another message board, and well, here I am, it's 1985 all over again but I'm not faced with a 5-minute tape reload every time i...
