Re: Difficulty starting out

very tedious work of uninstalling all the OXPs and reinstalling one by one until the error gets thrown again? Hi, Since I'm back from using Oolite and don't know if you can manually delete/install OXPs outside this (for me newfangled :) ) automagic OXP installer I'm not sure this works, but: instea...

Re: applesmc default as active joystick

cim's suggestion of increasing the dead zone did the trick, now I can still use it if I tilt the laptop more than 45-ish degrees.

[Solved] applesmc default as active joystick

Very entertaining bug (or feature!) I just installed Oolite 1.82 in Debian Testing, and it's pretty dang totally amazing (I had a hiatus since somewhere around 1.76, I think) But... My ship seemed to have a mind of its own... It went everywhere, couldn't fly in a straight line. Turns out my laptop (...

Re: Oolite not in Debian testing?

Tell 'em to put Oolite 1.82 in there. <grins> How are you, btw? Hi Cody, I was thinking the same thing, but do not recognize the name of the maintainer... I am... Hard to tell how I am, life's a bit of a challenge (P.M. because I don't feel like telling the world what's happening in our family)

Re: Oolite not in Debian testing?

I thought the most up to date in the repos last time I checked was 1.76-ish, so I guess, yes...

(EDIT: yes, yes indeed)

[Solved] Oolite not in Debian testing?

Soo.. I'm running testing, some days ago did a fresh install on a second laptop and to my surprise when I wanted to give Oolite a spin, it was not in the repositories (!) it was REMOVED from testing on July 11th...: https://tracker.debian.org/news/697003 Reasons: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/oolite

Re: Philae has woken up

Fantastic, isn't it?

People always asking why these probes are so costly, well, for starters they're designed to survive or cope with a lot of off-nominal (euphemism) situations, while being extremely limited in the mass they can use for function xyz...

notepad ++ leaves Sourceforge

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/news/notepad-plus-plus-leaves-sf.html Notepad++ is a tool often used by Windows users to work on the Oolite scripts, so I thought it's worth mentioning here.... The standard notepad mangles your scripts, so use Np++ instead. They seem *very* mad at SF https://notepad-pl...

Re: 8-Bit Apocalypse Updates

Wow, Oolite is really a work of generations: 8 bit apocalypse's ships being overhauled by Svengali, and Svengali's work being overhauled by Redspear!

She's largely hollow, though. :D

(Hmmmm.... So she's literallyy a hollow symbol of liberty, did the french have a sense of humour when they gave her to the US?? )
