However, the new Sidewinder looks great, but I never saw a ship/station from Griff I didn't like. The Admirals textures make the ship even look better.
Scars remind us where we've been. They don't have to dictate where we're going.

Could someone please tell me exactly what I need to change in her shipdata.plist? Or does she need to be re-Griffed to use the new lighting?
Options
1] One can change the paintcolor1/2 to the colour desired instead of a 'random' one, perhaps change the subtle masking used.
2] Disassemble the 'shader' maps, rearrange them to comply to the materials setting ( looses functionality, gains the colour effect and the spec gloss options )
Which one is it Cody, is it this one from A_C's screenshot a few pages back:
It needs redoing this OXP, the one in the screenshot above is using A_C's textures, but i can have a look at it to see what needs changing to bring out stronger paint colours in the version i uploaded if A_C's isn't available? but i'm not sure if it will match A_C's work, look how awesome and metallic that looks
Edit: Amazing work on the sidewinder retextures on the last few pages, right then, i'll push the polygons into shapes and you guys can paint them
ah OK, i'll dig that up, think it's just a matter of changing some of the shader uniforms in the shipdata.plist like cbr says, i can't remember if they're using fixed values or some sort of random number, i'll post back this evening when i've had a look
The lightest panel is an electric blue opaque fill ( approx. 7df9ff ), there are different hex codes to be found on the net
( could use some detail lines )
The panel above is a merged down colour layer which is cleaned by spreading out the colour ( and removing the carefully added dirt )
( keeps some of the details )
The specular gloss map with enhanced wear
Using the same materials settings as the one above
