Ah! I have a descriptions.plist in my AddOns/Config folder - if I remove it, the errors disappear. I'll have a tinker.

I'm not sure if this is related to the latest trunk, but ...

Target Autolock isn't working anymore and blips of targeted ships sometimes blink blue in the scanner.

Not using autolock here, so I am not sure what the expected behaciour is. Can you please elaborate a bit and provide a reproducible way to replicate the issue? Is this happening also without any other OXPs installed?

TAP 1.12 is working fine here (Oolite 1.85.0.6923-170527-412349f).

I just tried it with all addons disabled (except TAP of course) - to no avail.

What I did:
Removed all addons, installed TAP.
Started a new commander, launched and awarded the required equipment using the debug console.
Code:
PS.awardEquipment("EQ_TARGET_MEMORY");
PS.awardEquipment("EQ_SCANNER_SHOW_MISSILE_TARGET");
PS.awardEquipment("EQ_TARGET_AUTOLOCK");

I then left the aegis and spawned a few pirates.
They attacked me but I've got no autolock.

I'm using the same trunk version as Cody.

The blue blip problem seems to be related to another OXP - I'll investigate further and report in the appropriate OXP thread.


Edited to add:
TAP autolocks an attacking vessel if there's no other lock set.

TAP needs an unlocked missile armed/available to work - always has done, as far as I know. That is its disadvantage in a firefight.

There is no problem with trunk. The OXP sets the mission variable mission_targetAutolock when the equipment is bought and the script checks throughout that this variable is defined before doing anything. This is why the console method does not produce results. If you set the Lave tech level to 12 (i.e. 13 in-game), and give the commander a bunch of credits, then you can buy the required equipment and the TA itself and then you should find that it works.

I recently downloaded the latest nightly trunk, and have run through about 70 trade-launch-jump-dock cycles without any program issues. Together, these have constituted several contract runs from one side of the chart to the other, initially accepting a high valued contract, then accepting all contracts along the way that have destinations along the quickest route. I haven't looked at any cargo contracts, because I've filled all cargo with passenger berths. However, it just dawned on me that there may possibly be come Gold, Platinum, or Gem-Stones contracts, so I'll check them out next time.

Humorously, F5 reveals,
"Congratulations! You're the most renowned passenger carrier in the galaxy!"
"Congratulations! You're the most renowned parcel deliverer in the galaxy!"
"Nobody has ever heard of you delivering a cargo contract."

I have the following expansions enabled:

OXZ Display Reputation 1.3 (through the game)
OXP Rock_Hermit_Locator1.3.3.oxp (in AddOns)
OXZ EnergyBomb_1.0.2.oxz (in AddOns)

I mention these details because (1) it's fun to talk about our own experiences, and (2) configuration and play style details could be relevant, at least to say, those configs and play styles don't seem affected by (some hypothetical issue).

I don't know if these "no issues noted" reports are of any value, but this was mine :)
