I did consider working on the Viper once, but the thing is that only the police use it so a texture pack would not be that useful. Also, phkb and I worked on some improvements for the Dictators OXP and that includes a couple of new textures for the Vipers used in those systems.
You are correct, my mistake. In the core game only police is using vipers. The Navy vipers are based on ADCK / SimonB Neolite version and the few other OXP's I remember are Red Knight Squadron (own model), Anarchy vipers and a player flyable version, not sure which OXP and if they got there own model. Your Dictators OXP vipers already found their way in my System Guard Navy OXP, like always you did a great job.

Just released version 1.3:

- improvements to the original liveries.
- adjustments to specular_color and shininess.

These are wonderful! It always wondered me if it possible to do random colors in game - via some fancy shaders. It would add more variety and took less space.

Thank you so much, keikitokugawa! As for the colours, you can definitely do that using masks and shaders. I think Griff used this technique in a couple of his ships. I personally found it easier and more consistent to create specific liveries, so my texture packs have a fixed set of colours.
