60 years ago - Yuri Gagarin's flight

Post by stranger »

I have personal habit to celebrate Yuri's flight at April 11, not 12.
In April 11 he wasn't world hero - just unknown Russian young military pilot selected for dangerous mission.

Now I feel old! Thanks, stranger!
I dreamed I saw the silver spaceships flying, in the yellow haze of the sun
There were children crying and colors flying, all around the chosen ones
All in a dream, all in a dream, the loading had begun
Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home

I was too young in this April day 60 years ago to have personal memories - just six and half month old. :D
Space was a part of fun in my life later.
And now I hope to live till first man on Mars.

Wholemeal? Sourdough? The Italians do a very nice sour cherry conserve - amarena - which I can heartily recommend - goes very nicely with toast! (or in a bread & butter pudding).
